My idea of a good website:
I think a good website is postsecret.com. I always check this site for new postcards or secrets. This website makes me feel closer to people I don't even know because of a secret I share or can relate to. I feel this website works because of an emotional connection that people have with the content and because they can participate with it as well.
In my opinion, website essentials include a good visual, a simple and easy to use layout and contains something interesting enough to keep someone on it or to make them keep coming back.
My opinion on New Media Marketing:
New media marketing is everywhere. I always see ads on Facebook and in the results of search engines. I believe that because new media marketing is everywhere on the internet, it reaches more people than print media and is more effective only because of the capabilities of new media marketing. A video on Youtube, for example, is going to draw someone’s eye more than a colour picture in a magazine because sound is incorporated as well as visual. I also believe that new media marketing reaches more people than print marketing. The majority of people use the internet on daily bases so they are exposed more to ads online, while only a minority still read print articles, like newspapers, so exposure to ads in that medium decreases.
